Delete my account

Last updated:

This page explains how to delete your PrayerNight account and the data linked to it. PrayerNight is an app published by Anthony Rouneau (Angeall Software).

From the app

1. Open PrayerNight and sign in. 2. Go to Profile, then tap Delete my account. 3. Confirm with your password.

Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Without the app

If you can no longer use the app (lost phone, app uninstalled, forgotten password), write to contact@prayernight.org from your account's e-mail address, with the subject "Account deletion". We check that the request comes from the account holder, delete the account within one month at most (in practice, a few days) and confirm it by e-mail.

What is deleted

  • your e-mail address, first and last name, password (we only kept a hash of it) and language;
  • your prayer requests and material needs, with the prayers and offers of help they received;
  • the prayers and offers of help you made on other people's requests;
  • your community memberships, invitations and join requests, the people you had hidden, and your reports;
  • your notification tokens and sessions.

Communities where you were the only member are deleted. If you were the only leader of a community, its longest-standing member becomes leader.

What is kept

Nothing is kept for our use. Deleted data disappears from backups as they rotate, at the latest after 30 days.

Deleting only part of your data

Without deleting your account, you can also, from the app:

  • delete a request (request screen → Delete request);
  • leave a community;
  • turn notifications off (Profile → Notifications);
  • download a copy of your data (Profile → Download my data).
